Louise Willson Worthington was born on August 16, 1902 in Marianna, Arkansas. She received her A.B. from Arkansas State Teacher's College in 1930 and her M.A. from Columbia. She taught 3rd grade at the University School of the University of Kentucky beginning in 1930. In 1932 she was appointed supervisor of the training school of UK. In order to study the German school system, she spent the summer of 1933 in Berlin, where she observed the influence of Nazism on German elementary school students....
